Leadership plays a role at my internship in many ways.  Jon, my supervisor, gives me a great example of how to lead and what it takes to lead.  Jon does so many things and communicates with many different people on a daily basis.  He shows great leadership skills when he deals with these various people which allows FitPHX to be successful.  For me as an intern, I am able to show leadership skills.  Jon always loves that I do and accomplish things without him having to ask and he always tells me that he appreciates it.  Whether it's handing out information at meetings or setting up for Meet Me Downtown.  Leadership is something I am getting to show and learn at my internship.

  1. HI Daniel,

I've read through a couple of your posts because this is the first time I've opened up your blog. May I say, that your internship sounds very awesome. Doing things with high activity levels is something that I always enjoy because not only do you get to stay in shape, but you help others stay in shape too and you're always just one step ahead of everyone else.

It sounds like this internship would require quite a bit of leadership necessary to participate in. Through my internship I've learned that running classes (or when you're in charge of anything) demands a confident, knowledgeable person who isn't afraid to speak up or get things done. Being in your position, and under your supervisor, I would be constantly on the look out to do things before someone asked me to do them- just like you're doing!

  2. It sounds great that Jon is seeing and crediting you for the leadership skills that you have brought the company. It is great that Jon has such great communication skills because that is one of the biggest leadership skills to have when leading a business. Sounds like you are really learning leadership skills and showing them off!
